Haunted History Cruise aboard the SS NIGHTMARE
NavCal Marine Services is offering Haunted History Cruises aboard the SS NIGHTMARE (TRACE 1) from Star Landing, 300 Neyland drive. Cruises will be on October 13th, 14th, 16th, 20th, 21th, 22nd, 23nd, 27th, 28th, 30th, and 31st at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 p.m. Join Captain “Sam Clemens” and “Ms Drusilla”, right for a fun and entertaining cruise for “kids” of all ages. Hear the history of some of the spookiest events in the Knoxville riverfront area.
Sam and Drusilla look nice enough during the day but just wait until the sun goes
down. The river is totally diffrent after dark and so is the Captain and his assistant.
This year we are offering two types of tickets. To ride the SS NIGHTMARE only the
cost is $15.00 per passenger with taxes and fees included. For $20.00 per person you may
purchase a COMBO ticket (ride the SS NIGHTMARE first) and then do the Blount Mansion
walking tour 24-29 October at 6:00, 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Purchase online tickets below.
If you have never ridden a boat piloted by a 150 year old ghost this is your chance. Bring
your camera and your kids and join us.
Our BLACK CAT normally takes care of the rats but you might want to keep an eye on the cat. You may see some strange sights on this cruise like the passenger who tried to stay for a second cruise and got shackled aboard. Did you know that the Riverboat Office Barge is haunted by the spirit of former Captain Jim, now deceased. By careful as you depart your cruise. He is usually no problem but on occasions he is mighty restless and has scared more that one office worker at night when things SHOULD have been quiet and peaceful.
Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure times shown above, after the last scared passengers from the previous cruise has made a quick exit to the safety of their cars. Sam has been piloting boats for a LONG time so you have ALMOST nothing to fear except the cruise and some of its sights and sounds you may experiance.
We have a maximum of 19 passengers per trip and were completely sold out on several cruises last year so purchase tickets early below.
